Case study · Electric motorbike shop and workshop · Barcelona

From 762 to 6,598 blog clicks: how an electric motorbike store started reaching people deciding which bike to buy

An electric motorbike shop and workshop in Barcelona, official dealer for several brands, with an online store and a renting service. The website had a large catalogue, but the blog barely attracted any visits.

The goal was to reach people earlier, while they are still comparing models and unsure which bike suits them, not just those already looking for a specific model.

The starting point

A big catalogue, but a blog almost nobody found

The store sells electric motorbikes and scooters from several brands, offers renting and has its own workshop in Barcelona. Product pages were already getting visits from people looking for a specific model.

But before looking for a model, most people have questions: which bike they can ride with a car licence, which is the fastest 125, whether there is one that needs no licence at all. The website did not show up for any of those.

The challenge was to appear for those pre-purchase questions and then guide those people to the catalogue and the store.

When we reviewed the website and Search Console we found:

  • A news blog: posts about brand launches and e-scooters that drew few visits, and almost none with purchase intent.
  • Unanswered decision searches: searches like “moto eléctrica 125” (electric 125 motorbike), “moto con carnet B” (motorbike with a car licence) or “moto eléctrica sin carnet” (licence-free electric motorbike) had high volume, and the website had no content for them.
  • Brand pages with little text: each brand's category had hardly any content of its own or FAQs.
  • Business details unclear to AI: assistants such as ChatGPT or Gemini did not really know what the store was, nor tell it apart from its parent group.
The question we had to answerHow do we get someone who does not yet know which electric motorbike to buy to find us and end up in the store?
The strategy

In a store with many models, the catalogue serves people who already know what they want. The blog had to take care of people who are still deciding.

Before looking for a model, people look for answers to their buying questions.
01

Articles for people who are deciding

We left the news aside and wrote about the real questions people have before buying:

  • Which is the fastest electric 125 motorbike.
  • Which motorbike you can ride with a car (B) licence.
  • What you need to know about licence-free electric motorbikes.
  • Which are the most powerful electric motorbikes.

Each article links to the store's models and categories and includes a call to action.

02

More complete brand pages

We added FAQs to each brand's category, based on real searches from Search Console.

We also added structured data so that Google and AI assistants understand each brand's catalogue.

03

Local foundations and AI visibility

Local business details on the homepage (store and workshop), an address and opening hours consistent with the Google Business Profile, and a new “About us” page.

Every month we check how the store appears in ChatGPT and Gemini answers and fix whatever was confusing them.

The work done

Decision content first, then strengthening the catalogue

The project moved forward in phases. First, the articles most likely to bring new visits. Then, the brand pages, the local foundations and visibility in AI answers.

What we can learn from this case

In ecommerce, the blog works for people who have not decided yet

Product pages capture people who already know what they want. The blog lets you reach them earlier, while they are still comparing, and bring them to the store.

Write for buying questions

News articles barely brought visits. The ones that answer a specific pre-purchase question are the ones that rank and attract traffic.

One good article can change the project

The article about the fastest 125 brought 5,090 clicks in three months. It pays to spot these topics in Search Console and work on them in depth.

Always link to the catalogue

Each article leads to the related models and brands. The informational visit has a clear path to purchase.

Think mobile

81% of clicks from Google between July and September 2026 came from mobile devices.

Make sure AI knows who you are

A clear “About us” page and consistent business details help ChatGPT and Gemini recommend the store under its correct name.
